Goldfish hotel aims for gold!

The campaign existed of a special hotel exclusively for goldfish where travellers could leave their goldfish behind at Schiphol Plaza before they left for their holiday. This unique Goldfish hotel, which was also the first hotel in the world especially designed for goldfish, got a lot of media attention at several TV and radio stations as well as in printed and online press.

Since 2001 MWG (the Media Work Group foundation) annually hands out the AMMA Awards to make the Media profession in the Netherlands more visible. Advertising campaigns could be submitted for 12 categories, ranging from Best Single Media strategy to Best Media/Means strategy and Operator of the year. Last year Schiphol Media submitted a campaign for the first time. And they instantly won the award for Best Media stunt for the campaign of Customs. This campaign existed of a suitcase on the baggage claim with a crocodile tail sticking out.

This year Schiphol Media submitted two campaigns, one for Best Single Media strategy and one for Best Media stunt. A total of 22 entries were submitted for a nomination for Best Media stunt of 2009. Together with Go Fast! Enegry Drink, where all speed cameras where packed, Schiphol Media is now competing for this award.

The awards will be handed out on Thursday the 20th of May at the Beurs van Berlage.
