2nd AMS-ICN e-freight workshop

The second AMS-ICN e-Freight workshop was held at Schiphol airport on 9 May. This was another direct result of the MOU between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Incheon International Airport Corporation, signed in March 2011.

In April, the first e-freight workshop was organised at Incheon Airport and included participation by home carrier Korean Air as well as AF-KLM, IATA, forwarders and shippers.

The second workshop was organised in a similar fashion at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Over 20 participants from the entire AMS-ICN trade lane participated, including the Dutch Customs Authority and IATA. A number of bottlenecks were identified during the session and some of them turned out to be very easy to resolve. We are looking forward to seeing an increase in paperless shipping between Amsterdam and Incheon in the coming months!
