AF-KL Cargo offers new cargo opportunities to China, Costa Rica and Saudi Arabia
As from 8 May 2010, AF-KL Cargo offers 3 weekly scheduled services between Amsterdam and Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport in China. Starting 7 May 2010, AF-KL Cargo offers scheduled services between Amsterdam and San Jose in Costa Rica on a weekly basis. AF-KL Cargo offers also a new destination – Riyadh, operating scheduled twice weekly services from Amsterdam. Both the San Jose and Riyadh service are operated by Martinair.
AF-KL Cargo is the first to offer direct service between Hangzhou and Europe. Flights will be operated with a Boeing 777-200ER, three times a week, departing from Schiphol on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and returning from Hangzhou on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Hangzhou, with close to 7 million inhabitants, has developed into a major commercial and tourist center in China. This fast-growing market offers interesting cargo opportunities. Hangzhou’s economic activities focus on information technology and electronics, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, machinery, textiles and garments.
Flights to San Jose will be operated weekly on with a MD-11 Freighter, departing from Schiphol on Fridays and returning from San Jose on Saturdays. San Jose is an important commercial area, as well as an interesting connection point to other destination in Central America.
Since March 30, 2010, we offer scheduled services from Amsterdam to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia twice a week. Flights to Riyadh will be operated with a Boeing 747-400 Freighter, departing from Schiphol on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Saudi Arabia has an oil-based economy and ranks as the largest exporter of petroleum in the world. Furthermore, the economy focuses on new opportunities in power generation, telecommunications, natural gas exploration and petrochemical sectors.
