Air Cargo Cup

For the first time in the history of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, this year will see teams vie for the Air Cargo Cup. The Air Cargo Cup will be held at a sport park in the vicinity of Schiphol on 25 June. We will inform you of the exact location as soon as possible.

The first edition of this football tournament is sure to be quite an event and it will be closed with a barbecue and a cracking party. Each team may comprise a maximum of 9 persons. While playing, however, the teams may only field 6 players at a time: five fielders and one keeper. But there is no limit to the number of substitutions that may be made. Mixed-sex teams are also welcome and they will play in the men's competition. If enough women’s teams sign up, there will be a separate women’s competition. Games will be played across the width of the field and in accordance with the rules of the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) except that balls out of the field must be kicked back in and not thrown. Participation costs € 500 (excl. VAT) per team. This includes lunch, the barbecue and admission to the party. Registration closes on 1 June. As a maximum of 50 teams can participate, make sure you register in good time!
