Schiphol receives Air Cargo Excellence Award

On Tuesday 9 March, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol received the Air Cargo Excellence Award in the category ‘Airports Europe 1,000,000 or more tonnes’. Schiphol received excellent ratings for its cargo-related performance, value, facilities and operations.

The Air Cargo Excellence Survey was established five years ago and is carried out and published annually by Air Cargo World. The survey is based on a rating system that scores airlines and airports on specific criteria and subsequently ranks them to identify above or below average performance.

There are two surveys – one for airlines and one for airports – that provide rankings over the last 12 months. Airports are rated by airlines on:

  • Performance
  • Value
  • Facilities
  • Operations

The survey shows airlines and airports how their performance compares with the industry average. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has consistently been in the top 2 since the Air Cargo Excellence Survey was established. This is the second time that Schiphol received the highest ratings – outperforming Frankfurt Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle and London Heathrow.
