Wing mirror adjustment site to improve safety at Schiphol

From 6 November, all truck drivers at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will be able to make use of a special mirror adjustment site (free of charge) where they can adjust their wing mirrors and reduce the risks associated with the blind spot. This will help to improve road safety at the airport.

The mirror adjustment site is located on Anchoragelaan (Schiphol-Southeast), at the level of Reykjavikweg, and consists of a road with a special lane where truck drivers can pull up and adjust their mirrors using special lines and markings on the road surface. This is especially convenient for drivers who share a truck with colleagues. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol attaches great importance to road safety at and around the airport. This is why it was decided to offer this free facility not only to drivers and companies at Schiphol, but also to other truck drivers travelling in the Netherlands and passing the airport.
