Emirates now operates daily passenger flight Dubai - Amsterdam

On 1 May the inaugural flight of Emirates touched ground in Amsterdam. The plane was escorted to the gate by various airport vehicles and welcomed by a salute of the fire brigade of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The first passenger to get off the aircraft was mr Salem Obaidalla, Emirates's Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Europe & Russian Federation. On board also mr Beschoor Plug, Ambassador for the Netherlands in the UEA, and mr van Spronsen, Consul General. The VIP's were hosted a warm welcome by mr De Groof, CCO Schiphol Group. Ambassador mr Alsuwaidi attended the reception party at the VIP-centre on behalf of the UEA in the Netherlands.

Flights for the first few days to Amsterdam are already running near-on full - so a good start for the 23rd route into Europe. Across the 216 seats in Economy, 42 seats in Business and 8 seats in First Class, passengers will be able to enjoy the very latest offering aboard the airline's Boeing 777-200LR. An ultra-modern Boeing 777-300ER will also serve the route.
