Red Bull Netherlands to locate new head Office in Amsterdam
Red Bull Netherlands, subsidiary of the global producer of energy drinks, has chosen Amsterdam’s NDSM wharf as location for its new head office. The NDSM wharf, a former shipyard the size of 10 football fields, is home to artists and creative companies. Industrial buildings have been retained, while introducing modern architecture and working space in the proximity of the centre of Amsterdam.
Red Bull’s new creative hub will be located on the so called Media Wharf, a popular location in the Amsterdam Area for international media and creative companies to set up an office. Other firms, like MTV Networks Benelux, have preceded Red Bull Netherlands. The 930 square meter office will part of large complex, an old forge, which has been transformed into 7800 square meters of modern office space. It offers restaurants, all kinds of creative facilities, and a sky bar overlooking the city centre.
Jan Smilde, director of Red Bull Netherlands, is enthusiastic: "We were looking for something different, a location with an entrepreneurial spirit to it. Here we’ll have the freedom to develop innovative ideas and events."
Building starts in January 2010. Red Bulls plans to move the same month a year later.
