Region in the spotlight: Russia

Last week Aviation Marketing was in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. The goal was to present ‘Destination Holland’ to the Russian travel industry. About 20 Dutch tourism oriented companies presented themselves to Russian travel agents and tour operators in workshops which were organised in these two major cities of Russia.

The Dutch delegation was a mix of attractions like de Keukenhof, de Zaanse Schans en Madurodam, as well as diamond dealers, hotels, museums, ATCB and incoming tour operators. This sales drive was organised by the Holland – Russia Alliance, cooperation between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, KLM and the Dutch Tourism Board NBTC. The target is to double the number of Russian visitors to Holland in 2015 compared to 2009.
