Two jubilees this month!

On 1 September two airlines had their anniversary at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Lufthansa celebrated its 90th anniversary and Icelandair its 20th anniversary. The staff of the Dutch offices were both treated to a big tailor-made cake.  Lufthansa once started as Deutsche Luft Reederei and started flying on Schiphol on 1 September 1920, the present Lufthansa flies since 1 april 1964 from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Lufthansa flies to Frankfurt and Munich 7 times per day and 3 times per day to Hamburg. Icelandair flies to Reykjavik for 20 years now, in the summer this is 9 times per week, during the winter season 5 times per week.
