In addition to a limit on the import of alcoholic drinks, perfume and tobacco products there is also a limit on other goods that can be imported into the Netherlands tax free of EUR 175 (in total).
Goods with a value in excess of EUR 175 are taxed for the full amount.
If you purchase several items that collectively exceed the sum of EUR 175 then you will have to pay tax on the purchase sum of the cheapest item.
