Air Cargo Americas

This year’s Air Cargo Americas Conference and Trade Show was held in Miami from 2 until 4 November 2011. Schiphol Cargo attended the conference as a visitor. Discussions centred on the economic situation and its impact on the development of the cargo business, and on the development of the full freighter fleet in particular. Most of the carriers expect to see moderate growth of around 1-3% in 2012. Surprisingly, only a limited number of airports outside Europe are ready to accommodate the new Boeing 747-8 freighter.
