IATA meeting e-Freight@NL

The main topics under discussion were the e-freight reporting tools used by IATA, the development of the electronic security declaration, and a gap analysis concerning the IT challenges. The e-Freight@NL Team gave a presentation about their working method and the daily challenges they encounter.

The e-Freight@NL Team is currently lending its support to the implementation of e-freight in the Dutch air cargo industry and will continue doing so until mid -2012. IATA has established its own e-Freight team, modelled on its Dutch counterpart. Similar task forces are created at 10 other airports selected by IATA. .

Finally, current e-freight stats show a 21% increase in outbound e-freight shipments from the Netherlands in August as opposed to the previous month.
