Developments in relation to access control at Schiphol

Schiphol Pas

Protected and clean areas
A protected area is an area, site or building to which you gain access with a 'white' pass.
If this is an area with an increased security level, a so-called area with restricted access for security reasons, it is a clean area. The passes that grant access to these areas have a colour. These clean areas include: the lounges, the piers, the baggage basements and airside.

Not everyone has access to the clean areas at Schiphol. Only those who have to have access to a particular (clean) area at the airport for their work will be given permission to do so. The employer of the person for whom access is being requested, is responsible for demonstrating this "functional necessity?. The area administrators of the various clean areas decide who will be granted access to the area.
